Taxonomy and systematics

Welcome to my bio teacher, here you can get knowledge about different biology topics and can note on various biology chapters. It is an open source of knowledge where you can clear your all doubts related to the biology. The notes are designed very carefully according to the exams which are easily understood.

Taxonomy and systematics

The study of identification and relationships among living organisms is termed Taxonomy.
The term taxonomy was first utilized by Linnaeus.
The branch of biology coping with identification, terminology and classification of organisms is termed taxonomy.
The term taxonomy was initial coined by A.P. de Candolle.
Systematics is the scientific study of the diversity of organisms.
Taxonomy is the oldest and most elementary branch of biology.

A new species being known each day and their classification and characters area unit studied with the assistance of taxonomy.
Additionally to the current, employment of scanning, negation research, and also the data generated by different fields of science like ecology, cytology, genetics, organic chemistry, biology specially deoxyribonucleic acid, animals being restudied and replaced in biological process trees.
The construct of recent scientific discipline was given by J. Huxley(1940).
It deals with taxon and populations to clarify population scientific discipline.
New scientific discipline considers besides morphology, different aspects additionally like ecology, organic chemistry, physiology, biological science and genetic science.
 Significance of classification
 1. Convenience of study:
Out of innumerable varieties of the organisms it's tough to review Each of them.
The study if chosen animals of a selected cluster offers a concept concerning the remaining animals of that group, for example study of rabbit offers the data concerning all animals of sophistication Mammalia.
 2. data of affinities:
The data concerning relationships or affinities of various animals with different animal species comes from classification.
3. data of sequence of evolution:
Classification offers the sequence of evolution of animals, like evolution of sponges from acellular protozoa which of Arthropods from Annelids, might solely be celebrated through classification.
 4. data of connecting links:
The short-lived stage between 2 teams of animals is thought as connecting link.
It offers the sequence of evolution of animals.
With the assistance of classification definite position of connecting links are often created clear.
5. data of adaptation:
By classification we to tend to return to grasp concerning such characters of Animals with that they adapt to an atmosphere.
 6. Knowing of phylogenetic.
Animals of 1 cluster area unit evolved from a typical ascendant, be thought through classification as a result of this can be supported phylogeny.
We all know that each one animal of sophistication Mammalia has evolved from one common ascendant.

In this page- - Morphology  - Flowers  - Hypogynous flower Perigynous flower Epigynous flower Estivation Androecium Gynoecium Placentation Morphology  The study of varied external options of the plants is thought as plant morphology.  The Angiosperms are characterized by presence of roots, stems, leaves, flowers, and fruits.  These are the most important characteristics of angiosperms.  Flower  The flower It is the fruitful unit within the angiosperms .  It is meant for reproduction.  A typical flower has four completely different types of whorls organized in turn on the swollen finish of the stalk or pedicle, referred to a as neural structure or receptacle or thalamus .  These are curl, corolla, androeciun, gynoecium.  Calyx and corolla are accent organs.  Androecium and gametoecium and fruitful organs.  Bisexual -When a flower has each gametoecium and gametoecium.  Uni sexual- A flower having eit...

Name of 100 living organisms in the world

Name of 100 living organisms in the world There are many living organisms in the world. They are Human, tiger, bear, lion, dog, cat, horse, pig, rat, garden lizards, house lizard, Snell, hippopotamus, mango tree, coconut tree, banyan tree, banana tree, mushrooms, polar bear, yak, cow, goat, sheep, wolf, jacket, fox, tortoise, cobra, anaconda, crocodile, pegion, peacock, hen, parrot, bacteria, algae, ant, spider etc. Basis characteristics of living organism Following  basic characteristics of living organisms  distinguish them from non-living. These are the basic  19 characters of living organisms 1. Individuality:  Every  organism  exists as a single unit and has its own individuality. It can't be separated into completely different components for its survival.  2. Form and size:  Every  organism  incorporates a definite form and size. A non-living object will have any form.  3. Chemical organization:   Organisms  a...

Function of the hormones of adenohypophysis

Function of hormones of  adenohypophysis   Adenohypophysis is the real glandular part of the pituitary gland. The cells adenohypophysis secreted several hormones.  The hormones of adenohypophysis are 1. Somatotrophic hormone(STH): Growth hormone is secreted by the acidophill cells of the adenohypophysis.  It is polypeptide in nature consisting of large branches.  The molecular weight in human beings is 21500. The hormone regulates the growth of the body is thus it is necessarily concerned with the growth of skeleton, growth of muscle and growth of other organs.  Function - It stimulates the growth of skeleton in general by promoting ossification.  Hyper activity of gland in the young increases the growth of skeleton and this condition is known as gigantism.  Hypofunction of gland retrads skeletal growth and produce dwarfism.  The hormones promotes protein anabolism.  The hormone elevates the blood glucose level by stimulating glycog...
